The inaugural Salvador Black Film Festival – SBFF, co-founded by Giros Films and Zaza productions, is affiliated with the Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Canadian Black Film Festivals (the Montreal Intl Black Film Festival, the Toronto Black Film Festival, and the Halifax Black Film Festival).

The 1st edition of SBFF is scheduled for November 2020.

The Salvador Black Film Festival (SBFF), an afro-descendant audiovisual platform, was launched in the Bahian capital (Brazil) on Thursday (12/05), at 5 pm, at Barroquinha Cultural Space, Afro Temple. Salvador is the first city to receive the edition in the southern hemisphere that will happen in November 2020. The festival will promote the exchange of art with afro protagonists through audiovisual. The platform is led by Fabienne Colas, named one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women and founder of 8 successful festivals in Canada, the United States, and Haiti. The event is affiliated with the Canadian Black Film Festivals of the Fabienne Colas Foundation – which includes the Montreal Intl Black Film Festival, the Toronto Black Film Festival and the Halifax Black Film Festival.
